How to create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)? Print

  • 0

To create a new Certificate Signing Request (CSR) for your SSL certificate purchase, simple go to SSL/TLS Manager in your cPanel management.

Inside SSL/TLS Manager, go to "Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)" link. On the CSR page, you will see any previously created CSR's or you can enter the details to create a new one into the form. Once you have entered the details and submitted them, you will be taken to a screen showing the newly created CSR.

PLEASE NOTE: For Aztech Networks Hosting customers, you can simply create a support ticket and we will generate the CSR for you if you prefer. Or otherwise let us know during your SSL order and we can sort it out.

You will need to copy the CSR into your SSL Certificate order so your CRT can be created by the SSL provider. Once you receive the completed certificate (CRT) you can return to SSL/TLS Manager to enter the certificate. See our knowledgebase article for more information.
